The Platte Valley Gunslingers are excited to announce that we have been selected to host the 2018 Nebraska State SASS Championship at Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska April 13-15, 2018. It has been quite a few years since we have hosted a championship match, and we are looking forward to showing you all a good time. For those traveling across the country to Land Run the weekend after our match, this will be good opportunity to get a last tune up in before the regional match.
Entries are limited to the first 100 shooters, and we look forward to hosting you.

Tentative Schedule of events is as follows:
Friday April 13: Side Matches and Warmup Stages and Potluck
- 4 warmup stages
- Long range match rifle side match
- Long range single shot side match
- Derringer side match
- Pocket pistol side match
- Speed pistol side match (traditional, duelist, and gunflighter scored separately)
- Speed rifle side match
- Speed shotgun side match (SxS, SxS hammered, 97, and 87 scored separately)
- Evening potluck and western movie night
Saturday April 14: 6 Main Main Match Stages and Banquet (To be held at Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer)
- 6 main match stages
- Lunch provided for shooters
- Evening banquet with side match awards and door prizes
Sunday April 15: Final 4 Main Match Stages and Awards
- 4 main match stages
- Lunch provided for shooters
- Main match awards
- Final goodbyes
